4v4 BASKETBALL COMPETITION

OFFICIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Date: Saturday, 31st January Start Time: 9:00 AM Location: Endeavour Sports Park, Maud St, Fairfield Entry Fee: $50 Per Team Prize: $500 Cash (Winner Takes All)

1. Registration & Entry

  • Team Composition: Each team consists of 4 players.

  • Entry Fee: A fee of $50 per team is required to compete.

  • Registration Deadline: All teams must be registered by Friday, 30th January.

  • How to Enter: Registration is confirmed via text to 04 3581 9846.

  • Payment Policy: The entry fee must be paid in full prior to the start of the first game. Failure to pay results in immediate disqualification.

2. Schedule & Attendance

  • Check-In: All teams must be present at Endeavour Sports Park by 8:45 AM for the pre-tournament briefing. Tip-off is at 9:00 AM sharp.

  • Lateness: If a team is not present when their game is called, they will forfeit that match.

  • Event Duration: The competition runs until a winner is decided. Players should expect to be available for the duration of the morning/afternoon.

3. Prize Money

  • Cash Prize: The winning team will receive a total of $500 Cash.

  • Distribution: The prize is handed to the Team Captain. It is the Captain's responsibility to split the winnings among the players.

  • Eligibility: To claim the prize, the winning team must have paid their entry fee and played all matches in accordance with the rules.

4. Game Rules & Format

  • Format: 4v4 (Full court or Half court depending on organizer setup).

  • Scoring: Games are played to a set score or time limit (to be announced at the briefing).

  • Referees: [Option: Games will be self-refereed / Games will have an assigned referee]. In the event of a dispute, the Organizer’s decision is final.

  • Fouls: Calls must be respected. "Call your own fouls" (if applicable) requires honesty.

5. Code of Conduct (Zero Tolerance)

  • Sportsmanship: All participants are expected to play fairly and respect opponents and organizers.

  • Fighting/Aggression: Physical altercations, fighting, or excessive verbal abuse will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team. No refunds will be given, and the team will be removed from the premises.

  • Alcohol/Drugs: Consumption of alcohol or illegal substances during the event is strictly prohibited.

6. Weather Policy

  • Since Endeavour Sports Park is an outdoor venue, the event is subject to weather conditions.

  • Rain/Storms: In the event of heavy rain or dangerous conditions, the Organizers reserve the right to delay, reschedule, or cancel the event.

  • Notification: Updates regarding weather cancellations will be sent via text to the number provided at registration.

7. Waiver & Liability Release (Important)

By participating in this competition, the Participant agrees that:

  • Risk of Injury: Basketball is a physical sport. The Participant assumes full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages (e.g., sprains, fractures, collisions) incurred during the event.

  • Liability Release: The Organizers and Endeavour Sports Park are not liable for any personal injury, medical expenses, or lost/stolen property.

  • Physical Condition: The Participant certifies that they are physically fit to compete and have no medical conditions that would make participation dangerous.

8. Media Release

  • Participants acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional use on social media.

By paying the entry fee, the Team Captain and all Team Members agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
